Amanda Van West Writes about Her UK Masters
I'd definitely recommend getting an advanced degree abroad! It took less than a year, and the degree is valid in the US. Yes, I'd say there's value in getting to experience the news culture here, in comparison to the US. One big difference that I found is that it's so much easier to get interviews in the US. Over here, many people don't give student journalists the time of day...so then you have to work hard to think of creative solutions to fill in those gaps!
