A Nelson Toriano Update

It's official. my company was now bought out by a tv ad production company.

What this means for advertising is that people use our merged company to get sales by 1) targeted tv commercials and 2) online campaigns. It also means that media companies, in general, are moving toward being a single turnkey advertising agencies.
What this means for students, they better be ready to know the foundations of advertising (the pros and cons of print, radio, online, new media), and be ready to adapt real quick. Almost everything i had learned 2 months ago has changed! All the more reasons for students to develop a portfolio that shows a wide array of samples from classes.

Editor's note: Nelson was the acknowledged master of the informational interview.
